Ok, it’s not available yet, but Spotwave has just announced a product called “Zen” for home users that is designed to improve cell coverage in your home (within a 2500 sq. ft. area). The key for the device is going to be pricing; if they can get it in the $300–$400 range, then it could wind up being very popular as many other solutions are spendy. Furthermore, from the renderings the Zen looks easy to install, which would give it another leg up over more commercial-grade repeater systems.
April 2006 is the projected date of release, so we’ll see what the pricing is once we get there.
